Genre picture analysis

The genre type in this picture was thriller. We showed this genre by using the scary wig as a prop, this was a good prop to use as the red and black colours in the wig symbolise danger and darkness which is what thriller themed films are based on. The way Sophie's hands are shown could represent claws which could also symbolise danger.

The genre type in this picture that we had to portray was comedy. We showed this by using the neon wig as a prop, as this was our only prop we had to try and use other ways to show the genre so this is why we decided to show Sophie falling off of the toilet. Comedy is a genre that is to each persons preference, so some people may not see this as a comedy however some people may.

The genre type we had to show in this picture was teen rom com. We tried to portray this by showing two teenagers gazing into each others eyes which shows the connection between them both, we also showed this by making a love heart sign with our hands. For the comedy side of the teen rom com genre, we used the pink fluffy scarf as our prop.

  1. Yes I think you've demonstrated the genre conventions clearly. I like the tilted angle and comedic expression best.
